International Women’s Day: Women forging change in urban logistics and build a sustainable future. Women coordinators of major European projects on the topic invite you to share a virtual breakfast with them on on March 8

Most of the urban logistics projects funded by Horizon Europe are led by women. For this reason, next March 8, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (CET), ALICE and POLIS host a virtual breakfast to celebrate International Women’s Day and highlight innovation projects in urban logistics funded by the European Union and led by women.

Paola Cossu, CEO FIT Consulting, Vice Chair of the ALICE Working Group on Urban Logistics and Project Coordinator of DISCO, along with other coordinators, will take part in the event co-chaired by Charlotte Migne, Chair of ALICE Thematic Group on Urban Logistics and Lola Ortiz, Chair of the POLIS Working Group on Urban Freight.

The event will feature the following speakers:

  • Ioanna Fergadiotou, Project Coordinator of URBANE and Technical Coordinator of LEAD
  • Paola Cossu, Project Coordinator of DISCO, and Vice Chair of ALICE Working Group on Urban Logistics
  • Manon Levrey, Project Coordinator of DECARBOMILE
  • Vivian Kiousi, Project Coordinator of GREEN-LOG

Among the topics of discussion were the role played by women in sustainable urban logistics projects, gender equality, and the presence of women in the transport sector.

Participation in the event is free and open to all urban logistics operators and stakeholders.
